Rudolph AlocerRudolph Alocer

Rudolph Alocer, 78, of San Jose, Calif., and formerly of Tolleson died Nov. 3, 2013.

Mr. Alocer was born July 19, 1935, in Tolleson to Refugio and Antonia.

He attended Tolleson Union High School.

He worked in the grocery and produce business for 36 years.

He was an adult leader in the Boy Scouts for seven years, the Morland School District Home and School Club president for three years and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He moved to San Jose, Calif., in 1955.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Exie Prieto.

He is survived by three sons, Allan, Time and Chris; six siblings; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation and funeral was held Thursday.

Interment at Oak Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in San Jose, Calif., will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were made by Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale.

Carl GowCarl K. Gow

Carl K. Gow, 98, of Leslie, Ark., and formerly of Goodyear, died Sept. 19, 2013, from congestive heart failure and COPD.

Mr. Gow was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Crawford County, Pa., to Ruda Merle Gow and Mabel Darlene Gow.

He was the mayor of Goodyear from 1989 to 1995.

He retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1979 where he was the head machinist of the “Gow Machine Shop.”

He served as a justice of the peace while living in Pennsylvania.

He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Leslie, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Helen; and his second wife of 16 years, Elmyra.

He is survived by one son, David Carl Gow; one daughter, Darlene; two step-daughters, Ruth Main and Rebecca Patton; two step-sons, John Place and Paul Place; 20 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.

Eric JohnsonEric Lee Johnson

Eric Lee Johnson, 40, of Goodyear, died Nov. 4, 2013, in Phoenix.

Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 14, 1973, in Long Beach, Calif., to James and Louise.

He is survived by his mother, Louise; one daughter, Cadence; and one brother, James.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., with a funeral at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 W. Van Buren St. in Tolleson.

Arrangements were made by Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home.

Linda Molina SierrasLinda ‘Malingie’ Molina Sierras

Linda “Malingie” Molina Sierras, 57, died Oct. 24, 2013.

Ms. Sierras was born Sept. 5, 1956, in Phoenix to Desidrio and Odelia Molina.

She is survived by her partner, Henry Rodriguez; one daughter, Monica Alvarez; one son, Mark Molina; three brothers, Alfred Molina, Carlos Molina and Andy Molina; four sisters, Betty Hutter, Connie Acuna, Sheila Lopez and Alice Fernandez; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Avenidas Funeral Chapel.

Francis StewartFrancis ‘Kay’ C. Stewart

Francis “Kay” C. Stewart, 74, of Goodyear died Nov. 5, 2013, in Surprise.

Mrs. Stewart was born May 18, 1939, in Royal Oak, Mich., to William and Francis Campbell.

She was a homemaker and a licensed chaplain with Skyway Church.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Stewart; two daughters, Kim Soave and Patricia Rowden; two sons, Michael Stewart and Richard Stewart Jr.; two sisters, Helen Erickson and Gwen Bedard; one brother, William Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear.

Burial will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, Mich.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
