1 suspect arrested in W.V. pursuit
Department of Public Safety officers deployed tire spikes to stop a fleeing suspect early Tuesday morning on Interstate 10, officials said.
The pursuit began at 5:22 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10 near Dysart Road when officers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding, said Bart Graves, a spokesman for the department.
Spikes were used to finally stop the vehicle approximately 10 miles down the highway, near Watson Road, police said.
Wei Yi, 30, was arrested. He is a California resident, Graves said.
"[Wi] doesn't speak English and told us he didn't know what to do," Graves said.
