New Life Center offers free confidential support groups for those who have experienced domestic violence. Avondale, in partnership with Maricopa Workforce Connections, is offering job readiness assistance from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at the Care1st Avondale Resource Center, 328 W. Western Ave., Avondale. A career guidance specialist will help job seekers gain confidence in their search for employment. Assistance includes resume development, career counseling and job readiness workshops.
