Business Briefcase - May 17, 2017

Welcome to the Business Briefcase, everyone, glad to have you aboard.

First off, I’d like to extend a big congratulations to all of the students graduating this month. So here it is: congrats!

I’m sure it felt like it took forever to get here for college and high school students alike, but I assure you, it was the proper amount of time. It only moves at one speed, unless you’re a VCR (sorry, a digital recorder these days), or in line at Disneyland.

Business Briefcase: May 10, 2017

Welcome to the Business Briefcase, readers!

I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day a few days in advance. Specifically all the mothers, just to clear that up.

We’re used to celebrating Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May, but that’s not the case for much of the world. In fact, one could do a world tour of celebrating Mother’s Day, starting in Norway on the second Sunday of February and ending in Indonesia on Dec. 22. Every month except January and September has at least one day celebrating mothers across the world.

Howdy, folks, and welcome to the latest edition of the Business Briefcase.

Happy Cinco de Mayo for those who celebrate.

It’s tradition in the Business Briefcase to remind everyone what Cinco de Mayo really is (and isn’t).

Business Briefcase - April 26, 2017

Hello, and welcome to the Business Briefcase, readers.

It’s good to see your smiling faces once again, and if you’ve seen my vehicle lately, you’d be able to see the smiles yourself through the reflection.

Your Briefcase host got his first car wash in some time, and he feels pretty good about it. I’ve rediscovered the true color of the paint, and have a fancy new $1 air freshener hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Business Briefcase - April 19, 2017

Welcome to the Business Briefcase, everyone. Glad to have you on the page.

Once you’re done reading through our lovely paper (my opinion, hopefully shared by many readers), might I suggest saving it and turning it into a makeshift tent or sunshade this upcoming weekend?

The Briefcase Headquarters is scheduled to get hit with triple-digit temperatures on Sunday.

Business Briefcase - April 12, 2017

Feast your eyes, everyone, on another edition of the Business Briefcase hot off the presses.

I hope everyone is all sorted out for tax day! I’m sure many Briefcase readers out there occupy the same boat as I, and haven’t quite finished the job yet. What can I say? I’m busy scouring the West Valley to bring you business news. I don’t have time for silly ventures, like sleep, eating or taxes.

The law requires me to do one of those three, so it’s possible I’ll be filling out some forms at the same time you’re reading this.

Hello again, everyone, and welcome to the Business Briefcase!

It’s good to be back. As you can tell, your Briefcase host made it back from Iceland without incident. I made sure to stay a respectful distance from the various volcanoes scattered about the island.

And yes, the trip was real, not part of an elaborate April Fools’ Day hoax.
