Wants positive leaders

Editor:

In letters to the Editor June 27th Gordon Posner wrote a letter that was wonderful. By now people should know that Mr. Posner is on the political left and I’m on the far right. But when a person loves Our Country at times he or she will write something that is great! Kudos Mr. Posner.

E-fairness?

Editor:

Sending a Goodyear official to Washington DC to voice her opinion on e-fairness is laughable. She could have sent an email. That would have been just as effective and saved the Taxpayers the cost of the trip. This administration doesn’t listen to local “perceived” problems, just look south to the Border.

Hickman needs to resign

Editor:

The STOPP group held a protest at the Board of Supervisors meeting May 21st. Their message was to show the lack of representation Tonopah is receiving from the Board, with District #4 representative, Clint Hickman in particular.

American exceptionalism

Editor:

What makes America “exceptional”?

The Declaration of Independence. Its ideas weren’t exceptional (many came from Britain and France), but founding a nation on them was, and we set the bar high. (So high we haven’t always reached it, but we keep trying and get closer.)

View should review policy

Editor:

I second the sentiment expressed by Ron Greth (Political ranting, June 13)
about individuals who week after week spout their political venom on each other. How does that fanaticism contribute to civil public discourse?

I urge the West Valley View editors to review their policy and adapt one does not allow individuals to dominate the conversation.
