View advertising works for its customers, as evidenced by the large number of long-time advertisers.
Salespeople are given a protected territory as well as the ability to prospect throughout the county. Salary is commensurate with experience and a commission structure insures that aggressive salespeople will be handsomely rewarded with wages equal to or higher than other newspapers in the Valley.
Salespeople call on current customers to help them order and create advertising for that business. Order forms and materials are prepared for the graphics department to turn into completed ads, some of which are returned to the advertisers for approval.
Salespeople prospect for new business. Leads come from direct mail, other publications, previous customers and by seeing prospective businesses when driving the area.
